Ateliers d’Art de France (AAF), the federation of French crafts professionals, will present 19 French companies at the Pulse trade fair, which will be held in London from 1 to 3 June 2008. The exhibiting companies all have the CreatedinFrance® label, which denotes a designer of high-quality and creative products.

Several of the French designers exhibiting at Pulse specialise in cosmetics. Place des Lices develops high-quality toiletry and bath products, as well as a range of home accessories. For its part, Le Père Pelletier uses French plants and flowers to create a range of luxury toiletries.

In the fashion and jewellery fields, Ribambelle manufactures coloured jewellery for children in a simple, original style. As for Emmanuelle Dupont, its designers use wire, optical fibre, foams and wood in order to create jewellery, decorative objects and furniture. Vivia uses clay and glass to create stylish jewellery, while Mai Baeg offers a large range of leather bags with African designs, as well as shoulder bags and handbags for men and women.

Other fashion and jewellery designers at Pulse include Lisou les Bains, a fashion designer specialising in backless tops and beach/holiday wear. Laurige specialises in hand-crafted leather goods ranging from briefcases and handbags to small accessories. For its part, Raphaela Gemini uses silk, linen, wool and semi-precious stones to create a range of fashion accessories.

There will also be French companies specialising in gifts and home ware at Pulse. Trousselier creates lamps, music boxes and stuffed toys for children, while Charlot et Compagnie designs original and unique paper lamps. Wallaby Boomerangs Europe is the only manufacturer in the world to design eco-friendly bamboo boomerangs. Le Jardin de l’Ange creates original, aesthetic and lively objects for every day life, and Limoges Diffusion manufactures hand-painted Limoges porcelain boxes using traditional methods and tools.

Other French companies in the home-ware sector include Anne-Pierre Malval, which creates light fixtures, mirrors, vases and candle holders. En Fil d’Indienne creates quilts and cushions, multi-coloured thread curtains, linen voiles and bags, while Poterie Saint Michel works in fine white stoneware and porcelain. Finally, Bontemps offers a range of textiles for the home, as well as a collection of bags, and Suite À Part designs a range of home textiles made of linen, paper and satin.
