Pampering gift set for expectant and new mums
(30/09/2008)
A new range of natural pampering gift sets from MamaBabyBliss has proven such an instant hit with expectant and new mums, that the products are now being sold individually for mums who want to pamper themselves daily. One of the sets – the Little Bag of Pregnancy Bliss – has also been shortlisted as the Gift of the Year by the UK Gift Association.
The products are made with natural ingredients and essential oils, and are entirely free of petrochemicals, sulphates (SLS/SLES), parabens and other chemicals found in similar products. Beautifully packaged, they have been designed by a mother with the specific needs of mums and babies in mind. The well-being of new mothers in particular has been addressed as they tend to be the most in need of pampering following the rigours of labour, weeks of broken sleep, breastfeeding and sheer exhaustion.
The Little Bag of MamaBliss (£20) contains Mmm Mummy Massage Oil (60ml), a divinely scented healing post-natal oil rich in nutrients to help repair stretchmarks and get rid of cellulite after pregnancy; Ooh Bath Soak (100ml) with extracts of calendula, aloe vera and geranium for post-natal healing; and Aaah Soothing Balm (60ml) a soothing dermatalogically tested and paediatrician-approved nipple balm. Mmm Massage Oil is now also available in 100ml for £12.50 while the Ooh Bath Soak and Aaah Soothing Balm can be bought individually for £6.50 each. The Ooh Bath Soak can also be bought in a 250ml refill size.

Hugs is now available in 100ml bottle for £12.50 while Splash and Botty Bliss can be bought individually for £6.50 each. Splash and Botty Bliss are also available in 250ml refill sizes.
“Becoming a mum is an amazing experience, but it can take its toll on your body and your spirits,” says Justina Perry, founder of MamaBabyBliss, mother and qualified holistic and infant massage therapist.
“New mums in particular are in dire need of some pampering yet it’s at exactly this time that they get it least, as they tend to their new baby instead of themselves. I created this range of products to help women feel pampered and nurtured at every stage of their pregnancy and beyond, not forgetting the little person that’s made the whole experience worth while. Mums who’ve tried the products keep coming back for more, so we’re now selling the products individually so that they can pamper themselves daily, not just as a special treat,” she says.
All of the MamaBabyBliss products have been selected and endorsed by The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and will be featured in the College's You and Your Family Guide, which is given to all pregnant mothers in the UK by GPs and midwives.
The products are manufactured in the UK, are not tested on animals, are free of chemicals and are safe for breastfeeding mothers. They do not contain mineral oil, paraffinum liquidum, petrolatum, Sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate or parabens.
