Noonoo eco range becomes part of John Lewis baby gift and nursery products
(14/05/2009)
There are so many products on the market at the moment made of organic or sustainable textiles - but how and where and by whom are they made? Are the workers paid fairly? Noonoo products are designed in-house, and individually handmade, not mass manufactured. All products are unique and freehand embroidered with child art imagery to reinforce comfort in little children.
Noonoo© designs and manufactures handmade gifts and playthings for little children and now this product is available at The John Lewis Partnership nationwide, in store, catalogue and on-line. The Company approached Tink Manufacturing Limited who own the Noonoo© brand and distribute others in the Spring of 2008, saying that they had been considering the eco brand for some time, so from September 2008, the Brand became one of their key baby gift and nursery products.
Jo Ashburner, designer and founder of the brand says ‘Noonoo© continues to successfully supply mid to high end independent gift, lifestyle and nursery stores in the UK and internationally. I feel that with JLP on board, the brand and product will gain greater visibility, which in turn will benefit everyone - retailer and consumer - now and in the future as a result of this wonderful opportunity’.
Noonoo© products are made from felted lambswool, unbleached cotton, bamboo fleece, Habotai silk, 100% silk satin, or organic cotton.
