Hebe Jewellery launches Native American Indian silver jewellery range
(16/03/2010)
Hebe Jewellery have launched their collection of Native American signature pieces, with the spirit and beauty of the Navajo combined with the exciting, fashionable aesthetic of silver jewellery.
Intricately designed and imbued with flashes of rainbow colour, each piece has a special meaning evoking the philosophy and way of life of the DinM-i or ‘The People’. The range includes necklaces, bracelets and earrings with semi-precious, Turquoise and Bamboo Coral gemstones. Some of the silver bracelets and charm necklaces are designed without stones, leaving the symbolic presence of animals such the horse, bear and wolf to make a chic understatement, albeit with cultural and spiritual undertones.
Vivid slashes of turquoise are used throughout the collection, representing the Navajo Sun God on a pair of silver earrings and the sacred circle of life on a silver bracelet. Other statement piece such as the Mary Salazar silver treasure necklace are unique and unusual, as much a piece of art as a piece of jewellery.
Managing director of HeBe Jewellery Daniel Bentley said, “We’re very excited to launch our stunning Native American Silver Jewellery Collection. Each piece of jewellery tells the story of life, wisdom and teachings of the people. Their philosophy and way of living is beautifully captured. Every piece has a special meaning with the Sun represented by a perfect piece of turquoise and the Moon a perfect piece of white shell. Turquoise is considered to be a very lucky stone and is used throughout their jewellery to bring good fortune to the wearer.”
The Native American Jewellery range is currently a 37-piece collection. It includes one of a kind pieces such as the Apache Butterfly Fetish Necklace, carefully carved by hand to ensure no two pieces are ever the same.
