105 biOrb aquarium allows a wider variety and quantity of fish to be kept safely
(12/05/2010)
This month, the new biOrb aquarium hits pet shop shelves worldwide. The biOrb 105 from Reef One is the largest ever bowl-style tank to be mass produced: it holds an impressive 105 litres (or 28 gallons) of water; almost twice as much as their current largest, the 60 litre biOrb.
This larger capacity allows a wider variety and quantity of fish to be kept safely and Reef One’s patented self-filtering design means the tank is as easy to maintain as the smallest in the range. The unique biOrb filter cartridge automatically collected the dirt for easy, fast replacement, making the biOrb one of the easiest aquariums to maintain.
At over 60cm in diameter, the latest biOrb makes a stunning focal point in a lounge, reception or waiting room and is ideal for those with an eye for style wanting to make a big impression.
Tom Crosswell, marketing manager for Reef One, said the biOrb 105 has been designed to wow owners and visitors, without demanding maintenance and upkeep. “The 105 offers the style and function of the original biOrb – but the larger size now gives owners even more impact!” he added. “Even with the increased size, these tanks only require an easy filter change every month to keep the water clear and, just as importantly, healthy for the fish.”
The biOrb 105, which is made from acrylic 10 times stronger than glass, was recently named as runner up in the Aquatics Best in Show category at the prestigious Global Pet Expo in Florida.
A matching stand, designed to display and support the biOrb 105, will also be available from this month. The biOrb 105 stand includes concealed cable routing to reduce untidy cabling and both the stand and aquarium will be available in gloss Silver and Piano Black.
