Some of the biggest names in the general gift industry have lined up to support the new London Gift Fair launched by Clarion Events, in a bold initiative for the industry. Amongst the names that have rushed to be part of this gift buying event are Parlane International, The Libra Company, Lesser & Pavey, Talbot Import Company, The Master Herbalist, Helen Exley Giftbooks and Fancy Metal Goods to name just a few of the 200 expected exhibitors.
After qualitative research conducted by the organisers amongst both suppliers and buyers this new retail trade show for the general gift market has been announced for 12-14 September 2010, in the centrally located National Hall, Olympia. The show will be co-located with the popular design-led show Top Drawer and will have particular appeal for buyers from London and the South East of England.
Parlane International was one of the first companies to sign up for the London Gift Fair. Mike Burgess, Managing Director commented: “Parlane International is pleased to be exhibiting at the new London Gift Fair this September. We believe that central London is the perfect venue for such a fair. The big plus is that Clarion Events are running this new show and in parallel with Top Drawer.”
Amongst the very latest companies to sign up to the show is House of Marbles one of the leading suppliers of glassware, decorative glass, traditional toys, games and crafts. Company spokeswoman, Teresa Bavin, said: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at London Gift Fair. We believe it will enable us to target key market sectors, reach buyers that don’t attend other events and pick up those all important last minute Christmas orders.”
Naomi Hird, Marketing Communications Manager for London Gift Fair said: “We have been looking at launching a general gift show for some time and that we should house London Gift Fair alongside Top Drawer providing an impressive and broad offering at this key buying time. It will enable visitors to enjoy both shows and see a wide range of products in a single location so they can fulfil all their buying needs in one location.”
