But research by Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School has found people feel more compassionate toward others, have less worry and anxiety, and feel less depressed when fresh flowers are present in the home.

Even family days out are covered – over 40% of Brits feel driving ruins their summer fun, according to the survey.
