Scotland's Autumn Trade Fair has been a success for both exhibitors and retailers

Scotland’s Autumn Trade Fair was a success. The number of visitors rose by 3% reporting 1540 visitors.
The fair held last week at the SECC in Glasgow, provided an excellent platform for retailers to place orders pre-Christmas and look at many new and exciting products.

With over 130 exhibitors and 1500 visitors the Show has now become a firm fixture in the autumn show calendar with its mixture of gift, homeware, jewellery, fashion accessories, textile and Christmas products suppliers.

Mark Saunders, from Springboard Events who organise the Show said: “Most exhibitors reported that they took more orders than expected and were extremely happy with their results. It is a tough environment with understandably lots of caution and little appetite for risk. However the right products, price and customer service still tick all the boxes and those suppliers doing this continue to outperform the market.”

Exhibitors and buyers alike enjoy this Show because of its smaller and more friendly size and good layout which allows for a great buying environment.

Gordon MacAulay from Ness clothing said: “Scotland’s autumn fair at the SECC still keeps surprising us. Even in these volatile times, we received orders from a good selection of existing and new customers, both domestic and from abroad. This Show by far out-performs bigger, more expensive shows and offers a great return on investment.”

Elaine McAlpine from Gifts & Co added: “A great show, well organised – with 29 new accounts opened. Having received fantastic feedback from our customers who visited the stand, Gifts & Co have already booked a stand for the January show. We are looking forward to exhibiting in Glasgow throughout 2012.”
